The Austin-area 4th of July celebration is truly a collaboration of many great groups, sponsors, and volunteers, without whom our beloved community tradition wouldn't be possible. Thank you to everyone who makes these events happen!

2026 Schedule of Events

  • 2026 turned out to be one heck of a wild ride!
With widespread rain and flooding in the area both before, during, and after the Freedom Festival, many events in the park were not able to take place as originally planned.  At first we thought we would have to scrap it all and have to plan a replacement event...

  • BUT!  we were still able to have an amazing couple of nights of coming together as a community in Bandshell Park to partake in some live music, food trucks, an incredibly moving Veterans Ceremony, and we got to experience both a Drone Show and some AMAZING fireworks!  We planted the America250 Freedom Tree in Bandshell Park,  the Kids Fishing contest was a huge hit with well over one hundred children attending! The Chamber had great weather for their parade, The Darren Dash 5k took place and raised money for scholarships, the Pillars of the Community were announced, the Symphony had a free concert for the community, the HWY218 Cornhole tournament took place, and the Morning Lions had a great turn out for their fly-in breakfast.  Resilience is the name of the game, friends!

  • The American spirit in us won't let us quit, and you can bet we will be back in 2027!
Modifications are already being discussed in order to help mitigate - as best we can - some of the issues we encountered in 2026.

  • Want to help?  We have A LOT of need for volunteers!  We are an all-volunteer board/committee who give our time all-year-round to make this happen.  We need fundraisers, planners, people to spend time hauling, setting up, tearing down, putting away, manning barricades, managing volunteers and vendors, and generally being willing to spend from the 1st through the 5th in the park.  Big commitment? Yes.  Do we love celebrating America?  Also, yes. :)  If you're willing to help out and be the change you want to see, shoot us an email and let us know!  Info@AustinEnhancementGroup.com
